![]() ![]() The Arduino will interface with a temperature sensor, an aquarium pump and an LCD. The system will be controlled by an Arduino development board. I rotate a few bags of ice from the bucket to the freezer every so often to keep the temp down, but I figured I could make an embedded system that accomplishes the same task with less human effort. I have a thermometer attached to the bucket handle, submerged in the water, that reports the temperature of the beer. The fermenter (white bucket) sits in a 20 gallon tub, filled with cool water. ![]() My current method of temperature control is pictured below: The fermentation stage, for example, requires very specific and stable temperatures (depending on the recipe and yeast strain). These steps are a little more detailed than described above.
